repository of safety and health related questions, user selected from a
hierarchical list of subject areas. These can be collated to form
questionnaires that are issued to remote sites for completion. Results
are published as reports and graphs.
RAS uses a replicated architecture to allow users to carry laptops into the field, using MSAccess as the replica database. The replication engine is custom built to minimise network traffic. Data is synchronised between replicas using zipped, encrypted data and transported as disk files stored in a shared network directory. |
